Consistently been ranked top or is among the top ranking worldwidely!
Eugonia's Medically Assisted Reproduction Unit consistently ranks among the best globally for helping people achieve successful pregnancies through assisted reproduction techniques. Our success rates, denoting the proportion of outcomes per embryo transfer, are among the highest worldwide.
What makes us stand out is our deep understanding of reproductive science, personalized treatment plans for each patient, and use of the latest methods in infertility treatment. We're transparent about our process – we don't pick and choose patients based on factors like how long they've been trying to conceive or the method used for fertilization.
To help people make informed choices, we share our success rates in three key areas: live births, clinical pregnancies, and positive pregnancy tests. By comparing our rates with others globally, people can see why Eugonia is a top choice for reproductive assistance.
See and compare our rates with the corresponding international ones. Comparison is the best indicator of unit selection.
We list the success rates of Eugonia in 3 tables:

Eugonia is an ART Unit with stable and top pregnancy rates. These rates put us in the highest positions worldwide, regarding live births and also positive pregnancy tests.
Success rates are presented as:
• Positive pregnancy tests (biochemical pregnancies)
• Clinical pregnancies (embryos with heart beat at 6 weeks)
• On going pregnancies (>12 weeks)
• Live births
either per embryo transfer or per treatment cycle.
The presentation of results can also be based on special parameters, like:
• Age of woman, e.g. pregnancy success rates for women below 40 and over 40, or for women <35, 35-40, 40-43, ΄>43 years of age.
• The treatment method: in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) transfer of cryopreserved embryos (FER), preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD, PGS), oocyte or embryo donation (OD, ED), in vitro maturation oocytes (IVM), etc.
• Cause of infertility, etc.
The national register of pregnancy rates of all IVF Units in Greece would provide with candidate couples with a reliable selection criterion. This already happens in several countries (USA, UK, France, Germany, Australia). In Greece, the function of the independent authority of Assisted Reproduction has been temporarily withheld. One of its duties was to collate and publish pregnancy rates of ART Units in Greece. It is anticipated that this national register will soon come into force and will become a formal conformation of success rates for each Unit so that candidate couples can compare Greek and foreign ART Units.
Every day, new knowledge is accumulated from scientists worldwide in order to increase pregnancy rates. The publication of a study in a medical journal contributes, apart from the recognition of the researchers, to better and sounder knowledge of the subject. Exposure of a manuscript to peer review requires constant update and knowledge of the literature, and also an extensive database for the statistical analysis of data. These are part of evidence-based medicine but are not practiced by everyone.
We present the pregnancy rates following IVF in European countries in 2009. The results were collated from the European IVF Monitoring Programme, EIM) that operates under the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE). The results were published in Human Reproduction, official journal of ESHRE (EIM, A.P. Ferraretti et al., Hum Reprod. 2013 July;28 (9):2318-2331, 2013).
See the publication
This is the 13th annual report of ESHRE, while the nine previous ones concern statistical data form the years 2001-2009. The data for 2009 were collected from 34 European countries and 1005 clinics. The quality of data differs from country to country and is not always complete.
For Greece, the data are derived from 4 IVF Units from a total of 50 and are collected by Prof. Basil Tarlatzis, Professor of Obstetrics-Gynaecology and Human Reproduction at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Eugonia (with its present scientific composition) has participated fully in this annual registration of data since 1997.
We present three tables summarizing clinical pregnancies and live births rates resulting from IVF (Table 1), ICSI (Table 2) and Frozen embryos (Table 3).
