Director of the unit
 Tryfon G. Lainas was born in Pyrgos and studied at the Medical School of the University of Athens. He specialized in Obstetrics-Gynaecology at 'Elena Venizelou' maternity hospital, where he served as Senior Registrar for 8 years, with active participation in the scientific and educational activities of the clinic. He served at the department of endoscopy and microsurgery.
He obtained he doctorate from the Medical School of the University of Athens and he is the Director of the ART Unit 'Eugonia'. He has served as head of the department of endoscopic surgery at 'IASO' maternity hospital. His scientific interests and specialization include ART, reproductive endocrinology, reproductive surgery, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery.
He is a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), European Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (ESGE), and of the Greek Societies of Fertility and Sterility, Gynaecological Endoscopy, Perinatal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology etc.
He has published a series of papers in international scientific journals and has presented a series of studies in international and national conferences. He is regularly invited speaker at scientific conferences and seminars.
He organized the 1st International Seminar of Perinatal Medicine - Biology of Reproduction in September 1992 in his capacity as president of the organizing committee.
He established and organized the Diagnostic and Treatment Institute 'Iatriki Erevna' with a group of colleagues in 1988, the Department of IVF of 'Iatriki Erevna' in 1991 and the Endoscopic Surgery Unit of Athens Maternity Hospital in 1992.
In 2004 he established the specialized ART Unit 'Eugonia', which is a development and continuation of the successful IVF department of 'Iatriki Erevna'. 'Eugonia' (with continuous improvement of services) was quickly recognized as a high quality ART Unit with pregnancy rates being comparable to the highest percentages internationally. The decision for the establishment of 'Eugonia' resulted from the expansion of its activities, leading to its independence at management and functional levels.
His clinical activities range from the birth of thousands of healthy babies following successful IVF programmes, to successful reproductive surgery operations, hysteroscopic and laparoscopic operations and impregnation of people with special needs.
His research activity stems form his extensive clinical experience in combination with processing of statistical data of 'Eugonia' and their comparison with international results. The intention is to create studies, some of them have been published, while others are in press and some are at various stages of completion.
He has published original studies in international scientific journals and has presented others at national conferences. His studies have a significant contribution to the improvement of treatment protocols and prevention of severe complications in IVF.
His contribution to the training of new doctors in obstetrics-gynaecology begins from his time as Senior Registrar at 'Elena Venizelou' Maternity Hospital. Since then he has been actively and enthusiastically implicated in the training of new gynaecologists and midwives in IVF, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery.
The benefits of his constantly increasing knowledge and experience are conveyed in the consultations with infertile couples and in the solution of infertility problems, leading to the conception and birth of healthy children.

Ioannis Zorzovilis MD
Obstetrician - Gynecologist
 Born in Tashkent of the former USSR. He is the father of three children. He graduated from the medical school of Leningrad University and specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Hospital of Polygyros Chalkidikis and Maternity Hospital Elena Venizelou in Athens (E' Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic).
He has been an associate of Eugonia IVF Centre since 2000. He has served as Head of the Endoscopic Surgery Department at the private maternity hospital IASO. His scientific interests include assisted reproduction, reproductive surgery, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery.
He is a member of several scientific societies in Greece and abroad. He has published several studies and abstracts in International and Greek journals and conferences. He has also been invited speaker in conferences.

George Petsas MD, PhD
Doctorate Thrace University
Obstetrician - Gynecologist
 Born in Athens. He graduated from Varvakeios School and studied medicine at the Medical School of the University of Athens. He specialized in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University Hospital of Alexandroupolis and Alexandra Hospital. He obtained his PhD from the Democritus University of Thrace and trained at the Obstetrics and Gynaecoligy Clinic of the University Hospital of Munich.
His scientific interests focus on reproductive medicine and public health (he has an MSc from the National School of Public Health). He has published a series of papers in international and greek scientific journals. He has been an associate of Eugonia since 1997.

Loukas Taprantzis MD
Anaesthesiologist
 Born in Athens in 1963. He graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and completed his specialization in anesthesiology at KAT hospital in 1994.
He has participated in many conferences and seminars from 1990 until today. Since 1995, he has worked in many public and private hospitals, clinics, as well as several Assisted Reproduction Units. He has been an associate of Eugonia since 1996.

Nikos Maragkos MD
Anaesthesiologist
 Born in Pyrgos of Ilia. Graduated from the Medical School of The University of Bucharest in 1998 and completed his specialisation in Anaesthesiology at The General Hospital of Nikaia in September 2009.
He has participated and has a series of presentations in greek and international seminars and conferences. He is a member of The Hellenic Society of Anaesthesiologists and The Hellenic Pain Society. He has been an associate of Eugonia since September 2009.

George Iliadis MSc
Clinical Embryologist
 Born in Athens in 1969. He graduated from the Biology Department of the University of Patras. In 1996 he obtained his Master's degree in Clinical Biochemistry with Molecular Biology from the University of Surrey, UK. The same year he started training in Embryology in Iatriki Erevna. In 1997 he went to London to continue his training and worked as a Clinical Embryologist in The Lister Hospital under Dr Gearon and Mr Abdalla. In September 1999 he joined the IVF team in Iatriki Erevna - Eugonia.
He possesses the official license of the British Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority (HFEA) to perform ICSI on human gametes from 1998.
He is a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), Alpha - Scientists in Reproductive Medicine and the Hellenic Association of Clinical Embryologists (ÐEKE).

Ioannis Sfontouris Ì.Ìed.Sci., PhD

Clinical Embryologist
 Ioannis Sfontouris was born in Athens.
He graduated from the Department of Biology, University of Patra in 1998 and then continued his studies in the UK were he obtained his Master's degree in Assisted Reproduction Technology from the University of Nottingham. He trained and worked as Embryologist at the University IVF Unit NURTURE and obtained an official license to perform ICSI on human gametes from the Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority (HFEA). In addition, he had an active contribution in teaching, supervision of projects and participation in research. During the same time he undertook his doctorate research and obtained his PhD from the University of Nottingham in 2004.
He has presented a series of studies at international conferences and is a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), Association of Clinical Embryology UK (ACE), Society for Reproduction and Fertility UK (SRF), Hellenic Association of Clinical Embryologists (PEKE). He served as member of the Education Committee of SRF for 3 years in his capacity as postgraduate/postdoctoral representative.
He joined the scientific team of Eugonia in March 2006 as Clinical Embryologist, and participates in the research activities of the Unit.

Konstantina Anagnostara M.Med.Sci.
Clinical Embryologist
 Konstantina Anagnostara was born in Athens. She graduated from the Department of Biomedical Sciences of King's College London in 2002 and she obtained her Master's degree in Assisted Reproduction Technology from the University of Nottingham in 2003. She trained and worked as an Embryologist at the University of Bristol Centre for Reproductive Medicine and obtained her official license to perform ICSI on human gametes from the Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority (HFEA), as well as her Certificate in Clinical Embryology (ACE Certificate) from the UK Association of Clinical Embryologists. She also worked as an embryologist at the Bristol Centre for Reproductive Medicine at Southmead Hospital and at the St. Bartholomew's Hospital Centre for Reproductive Medicine in London.
She is a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), the Association of Clinical Embryologists UK (ACE), the Hellenic Association of Clinical Embryologists (PEKE) and an associate member of the Royal College of Pathologists (UK).
She joined the scientific team of Eugonia as a Clinical Embryologist in November 2009.

Georgia Stavropoulou
Head Nurse
 Born in Arta,
Georgia Stavropoulou graduated from the Department of Midwifery at the TEI of Thessaloniki in 1990 and worked for 5 years as a nurse and midwife in private clinics in Athens. She has also worked on digital angiography. She served as theatre midwife at Lito maternity hospital for two years, and subsequently took the position of Head Nurse at Eugonia in 1995.
